The Holistic Story Teller

I know this guy that grew up in the same small town I did. He is a writer, and a good one at that. He started a website called the Holistic Story Teller. He responds quickly when you email him, and he really believes in his cause.

His website Holistic Story Teller is a wonderful place where you can get pointers on how to write better and he shares personal stories of triumph and woes as he goes through this journey. I’m a huge believer in supporting the little guys. The people that just want to help others. For this reason, I have no problem advertising on his behalf, even though he hasn’t asked me to.

He is starting his first 5 Day Challenge to help others become better writers. I’ve already learned so much from him. I wanted to shout out to my followers and fellow blogists the link so you can join his challenge as well. Its 5 days and its free.

Here is the link if you are interested.

So, here is what I would love to do for him. Please sign up for the challenge yourself. What do you have to lose? The best thing , besides all the amazing education you’ll gain, is that it is free. After you sign up for the challenge, leave a comment on this post to let me know you signed up.

Lunchtime Doodle -02/07/17

Today I decided to challenge myself to do something completely off the wall for me. I needed something abstract. I decided that I was going to start drawing.

So, there it is. I started drawing. After about 15 minutes, I was here. I saw so many things and I hated it. But I told myself to just keep drawing, so I began to focus on one line at a time. I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t subconsciously drawing something because I was working really hard to be completely abstract.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, presenting the final product:

What do you think? I sat it on my desk for the past 4 hours. Scoffing at it and rolling my eyes at the absurdity, but then, something happened! It started to grow on me, the more I looked at it, the more I saw things that I never meant to be there. A submarine, a lawnmower and even something you’d find under a microscope, and yet, it was nothing.

I would love to know your thoughts on this type of art. Also, You will probably notice that my signature has changed, I am trying to make sure that I am adaptable, even after the name change next august!

Joey’s weekly challenge #135

I’m always amazed at what Joey comes up with for the challenges and I absolutely love doing anything with circles. In this challenge, found here, you can see that part of the challenge was also doing three tangle patterns. Disco, Drogon, and Msst. None of  these have I attempted before, so the whole thing was challenging.

Joey’s Weekly Challenge #128

Joeys - 128

Ever since I started doing these spider webs, I can’t get enough of them. Maybe it is the time of the year with all the spooky decor, but I love drawing them and adding them to different pieces. This challenge was a lot of fun and of course I got to add my webs.

The funny thing about this is being an arachnaphobic that I am and yet love the artistry of webs. Even my 7 year old points that out. *teehee*

Anyways, You can find the challenge here.
