Mandala Collection I (1 of 5)

I have decided that I am going to do a series of mandalas on 12×12 color gradient card stock. Once this series is done, I will be getting prints to sell. This mandala was completed with Staedtler pigment liners and a white gel pen. I worked on this mandala for a total of 8 hours over two sessions. This is the first time that I have ever used the white gel pen as a complimentary color on one of my pieces. I really like the way it turned out and the white actually made the entire thing pop. I intend to use this same technique with the next four mandalas in this collection.

Don’t forget to visit my YouTube channel to watch the time-lapse.

If you like what you see, please leave me a comment below. I am also very open to suggestions for patterns for the next four. My advice to you is try something you’ve never tried before, it just might be spectacular!

Teal and blue

I have a dear friend who is in love with teal and blues. She is also an artist friend of mine and I knew that she would appreciate and one of a kind art piece for her home. I had so much fun drawing this and perfecting it. it was worth all the time and energy when I watched her reaction when she opened it.

I am so blessed to have people in my life that not only appreciate my artistic abilities but encourage them as well. This special lady is just one of those memtioned.

Here is a close up so you can see the detail and shimmer in the finished product.

Dolphin mandala

I drew this for a friend of mine for Christmas. I love being able to share these projects now that Christmas is over.

I wanted to add some special details so I added a few metallic pens to just give a little life to the dolphin itself.

What do you think about the finished product? Tell me in the comments below.
